Azerbaijan-BiH relations grow stronger with new commitments at XII Global Baku Forum PHOTO
On March 13, President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan held a meeting with Željka Cvijanović, Chairwoman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, during the ongoing XII Global Baku Forum.
President Aliyev fondly recalled his official visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina, where he had productive discussions with Cvijanović, Caliber.Az reports referring to local media.
He highlighted the significance of the talks they held during that visit, which further strengthened bilateral ties between the two nations.
In turn, Chairwoman Cvijanović expressed her gratitude to President Aliyev for inviting her to the XII Global Baku Forum, organized by the Nizami Ganjavi International Center. She commended the excellence of the forum's organization and praised the important global issues that were addressed during the event. Cvijanović also reflected on her visit to Azerbaijan during COP29 and her meeting with President Aliyev, emphasizing the significant achievements made at the conference.
The two leaders discussed ways to expand cooperation between Azerbaijan and Bosnia and Herzegovina in various fields, including economy, trade, energy, culture, and other sectors of mutual interest.
The ongoing XII Global Baku Forum, themed "Rethinking World Order: Turning Challenges into Opportunities," is being held at the Gulustan Palace in Baku, Azerbaijan, and will continue until March 15. The forum, organized under the patronage of President Aliyev, has attracted more than 400 distinguished participants, including current and former heads of state, Nobel Peace Prize laureates, and prominent representatives from international organizations and civil society.
During the opening ceremony, President Ilham Aliyev delivered a speech underscoring the forum’s role as a platform for global dialogue, collaboration, and innovation. Since its inception, the Global Baku Forum has become a significant international event, bringing together over 100 heads of state and government, as well as more than 4,000 senior leaders. Through its discussions and initiatives, the forum continues to address some of the world’s most urgent challenges, fostering solutions for an ever-evolving global landscape.
