Azerbaijan emerges as Georgia’s second-largest foreign investor
Azerbaijan ranked among the largest foreign investors in Georgia in 2025, contributing $214.4 million in foreign direct investment (FDI), Georgia’s National Statistics Office (Geostat) has stated.
Georgia attracted approximately $1.9 billion in FDI last year, marking a 19.3% increase compared with the previous year, Caliber.Az reports, citing Georgian media.
The United Kingdom was the largest source of foreign investment, contributing $426.6 million, or 22.4% of Georgia’s total FDI.
Azerbaijan ranked second with $214.4 million, accounting for 11.3% of total investment. Türkiye followed in third place, investing $202.4 million, or 10.6% of Georgia’s FDI.
Together, the United Kingdom, Azerbaijan and Türkiye accounted for 44.4% of the total foreign direct investment attracted by Georgia in 2025.
