Azerbaijan increases number of star-rated hotels

Azerbaijan's State Tourism Agency has awarded star ratings to three additional hotels, increasing the total number of officially classified hotels in the country.

One hotel received a five-star rating, another was awarded four stars, and a third was classified as a three-star property, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.

The latest additions bring the total number of star-rated hotels in Azerbaijan from 275 to 278.

The country now has 24 five-star hotels, 44 four-star hotels, 98 three-star hotels, 81 two-star hotels and 31 one-star hotels.

Of the total, 201 are located in Baku, accounting for about 72% of all star-rated hotels in the country.
