Azerbaijan increases trade turnover with US
The total trade turnover between Azerbaijan and the United States reached $760.6 million in the first seven months of 2025, marking a 6% increase compared with the same period last year.
Data show that Azerbaijan’s exports to the U.S. fell sharply over the period, declining 2.5 times to $42.2 million, Caliber.Az reports, citing the State Customs Committee.
The share of exports accounted for just 0.28% of the country’s total exports, down from 0.64% in January–July 2024.
Meanwhile, imports from the United States grew by 16.9%, reaching $718.4 million, representing 5.28% of Azerbaijan’s total imports, slightly down from 5.69% in the same period last year.
The figures reflect a widening trade imbalance, with Azerbaijan importing significantly more from the U.S. than it exports, despite the overall growth in bilateral trade.
