Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan finance groups sign memorandum of understanding
Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan have taken a step toward deeper financial cooperation with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between their key banking associations at the FINTEX Summit 2025 in Baku.
The deal, signed by Azerbaijan Banks Association (ABA) President Zakir Nuriyev and Association of Financiers of Kazakhstan (AFK) Chairwoman Elena Bakhmutova, aims to boost the exchange of expertise and foster joint initiatives between the two countries’ financial sectors, Caliber.Az reports.
The agreement was reached on the sidelines of FINTEX Summit 2025—Finance and Technology Exhibition. The two-day event, organised by the ABA and the Central Bank of Azerbaijan with the support of the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport and other partners, is regarded as the region’s top platform for digital transformation in banking and finance.
This year’s summit, held under the theme “New Trends in Banking and Finance Ecosystem: Digital Integration, Fintech Partnerships and Cybersecurity,” brings together industry leaders, policymakers, and global fintech players to explore cutting-edge solutions shaping the sector.
