Azerbaijan, Libya explore closer cultural ties PHOTO

Libya has expressed interest in strengthening cultural cooperation with Azerbaijan, according to the Ministry of Culture.

The statement came during the ongoing OIC Cultural Fest: Baku Creative Week 2025, which is hosting Libya’s Minister of Culture, Mabrouka Toughi Othman.

A meeting was held at the Baku Congress Centre between Azerbaijan’s Minister of Culture, Adil Karimli, and his Libyan counterpart. Karimli highlighted that the festival provides an ideal platform to discuss bilateral cultural collaboration.

Toughi emphasised Libya’s intention to establish close cultural ties with Azerbaijan and expressed confidence that joint initiatives would yield tangible results in expanding cultural relations between the two countries.

The ministers discussed prospects for future cooperation and agreed to maintain ongoing contact.
