“Harmony” documentary showcasing Azerbaijan’s multiculturalism to premiere in Rome
The documentary film Harmony will be presented in Rome on September 28, the State Committee for Affairs with Religious Associations of Azerbaijan has announced.
Produced through a joint initiative involving the State Committee, the Foundation for Promotion of Moral Values and the Baku Media Center, the film lists Arzu Aliyeva, head of the Baku Media Center, as its executive producer.
Harmony explores Azerbaijan’s traditions of tolerance and multicultural coexistence through the everyday lives and interactions of three friends from different religious backgrounds. Their family relationships, religious observances and enduring friendship reflect values such as mutual understanding, trust, respect and peaceful coexistence.
Filming took place at religious sites across different regions of Azerbaijan, as well as at locations that showcase the country’s interfaith harmony and diverse cultural heritage.
Representatives of the Holy See, members of the diplomatic corps, religious community leaders and clergy are expected to attend the Rome presentation together with members of the Azerbaijani delegation.
The event will also feature a photo exhibition highlighting Azerbaijan’s religious and cultural heritage, along with its multicultural traditions.
Focusing on tolerance, mutual respect, solidarity and peaceful coexistence, the documentary is also being showcased at international festivals and on various film platforms.
