Azerbaijani diaspora donates over 20 publications to US Library of Congress PHOTO

Azerbaijan’s State Committee on Work with Diaspora has donated over 20 publications on Azerbaijan’s cultural heritage and history to the US Library of Congress during a visit by committee representatives.

The donated books feature works on Karabakh and Shusha, including The Heritage of Shusha, Karabakh Before and After the Occupation, Karabakhname, Ancient and Beautiful Karabakh, Chronicle of Victory, Khojaly, Pearls of Azerbaijani Music, Heydar Aliyev’s Favourite Musical Pearls, Emin Sabitoglu’s Symphony, Suleyman Alasgarov’s Bayati-Shiraz and Fikret Amirov’s Sachli, among others, Caliber.Az reports.

Library representative Joan Weeks said the publications would further enrich its collection dedicated to Azerbaijan and expressed gratitude to the State Committee for Work with Diaspora.

The Azerbaijani delegation also viewed ancient and contemporary publications related to Azerbaijan held in the library’s collection, including Mirza Alakbar Sabir’s Hop-hopname, books on the works of Nizami Ganjavi, Imadaddin Nasimi, Muhammad Fuzuli and other Azerbaijani literary figures, as well as books covering various periods of Azerbaijan’s history.
