Azerbaijan’s Culture Ministry names new chief of staff
Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Culture has appointed Hikmat Mustafayev as its new chief of staff, the ministry said.
The appointment was formalized by an order signed by Culture Minister Adil Karimli, Caliber.Az reports per local media.
Mustafayev has worked in public service since 1997, holding a number of senior and managerial positions over the course of his career. His previous roles included positions at the State Committee on Property, the Ministry of Economic Development and the State Committee for Property Affairs.
Prior to his latest appointment, Mustafayev served as an adviser to the director of the Heydar Aliyev Centre..
He succeeds Mustafa Abbasbayli, who previously served as chief of staff. Under a separate order signed by Karimli, Abbasbayli has been appointed an adviser to the culture minister.
