Azerbaijani tea culture showcased at Brussels Tea Festival 2026 PHOTO
Azerbaijani tea culture was showcased at the Brussels Tea Festival 2026 in Brussels, Belgium, bringing the country’s traditional tea ceremony, teas and national sweets to an international audience.
Azerbaijan was represented at the festival by the Fireland Association, with the support of the Azerbaijani Embassy in Brussels, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
The Fireland Azerbaijanis Union booth attracted strong interest from visitors. Guests were introduced to the traditional Azerbaijani tea ceremony and had the opportunity to sample a variety of Azerbaijani teas alongside national sweets and jams.
Visitors were also informed about the role of tea culture in everyday and public life in Azerbaijan. Those interested could taste Azerbaijani tea accompanied by traditional sweets.
A total of 46 participants took part in the festival, showcasing tea traditions and related activities. They included tea houses, tea producers, ceramic artists and representatives of other sectors of the tea industry and culture from Belgium, the Netherlands, France, Japan, China, Taiwan, India, South Korea, Germany, the Czech Republic and Sri Lanka.
The festival programme featured tastings, seminars, discussions, workshops and traditional tea ceremonies, providing participants with an opportunity to present and explore tea cultures from different countries.
