Azerbaijan's state budget surplus surges to over $1.7 billion

Azerbaijan's state budget has posted a significant surplus, exceeding $1.7 billion for the year's first seven months.

The country’s revenues for January-July reached $13.28 billion, marking a 20.3 percent increase compared to the same period last year, Caliber.Az reports citing the State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan.

Meanwhile, expenditures totaled over $11.4 billion, up 10.4 percent from the previous year.

This substantial revenue growth and controlled spending resulted in a budget surplus of $1.8 billion, 2.7 times higher than the surplus recorded in the same period last year.
