Azerbaijan to join second Global Gateway conference in Brussels
Azerbaijan will participate in the second Global Gateway Forum, set to take place on October 9–10 in Brussels.
Minister of Digital Development and Transport Rashad Nabiyev is expected to represent the country at the event, Caliber.Az reports per local media.
The conference will focus on global connectivity development amid ongoing geopolitical and geo-economic challenges. It will bring together high-level officials from governments, financial institutions, the private sector, and civil society to discuss strategies for expanding Global Gateway investments in partner countries.
Launched in 2021, the Global Gateway initiative aims to promote smart, green, and secure connectivity across the digital, energy, and transport sectors worldwide. Azerbaijan is considered a priority area for the initiative due to its strategic position along the Middle Corridor.
The first Global Gateway Forum was held in Brussels on October 25–26, 2023, gathering over 40 high-level representatives to address global investment needs and foster new partnerships.
