Azerbaijan, Yemen strengthen cultural ties in diplomatic meeting
On December 4, Azerbaijan's Minister of Culture, Adil Karimov, met with the newly appointed Ambassador of Yemen, Mohammed Saleh Ahmed Turaik.
According to the Ministry of Culture, the Minister congratulated the Ambassador on beginning his diplomatic mission in Azerbaijan and wished him success in his work, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
He highlighted that Azerbaijan, as a part of the Islamic world, attaches great importance to cooperation with Muslim countries.
It was noted that culture plays a crucial role in building bridges between nations. To establish cultural cooperation between Azerbaijan and Yemen, a legal framework should be created. The Azerbaijani side is ready to take steps in this direction.
Expressing gratitude for the warm welcome, Ambassador Mohammed Saleh Ahmed Turaik remarked that he was pleased to begin his diplomatic activities in Azerbaijan. He stated that he would make every effort to strengthen relations between the two countries across various sectors, including culture.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed the education of Yemeni youth in the arts in Azerbaijan and exchanged views on acquiring experience in library and museum fields, as well as the preservation of cultural heritage.
