Azerbaijani, Armenian FMs to hold peace talks in New York with US mediation

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov and Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan are scheduled to meet in New York on September 26 with the participation of US Secretary of State Antony Blinken.

The remarks came from Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry spokesman Aykhan Hajizada, who said the meeting will be held on Blinken's initiative, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.

To recap, the foreign ministers of Azerbaijan and Armenia held a meeting in Washington on July 10 this year on the margins of the summit dedicated to the 75th anniversary of NATO.

The sides agreed to continue working on the peace agreement.

They noted the progress made by Azerbaijan and Armenia on the way to concluding a historic peace agreement and establishing interstate relations and agreed to continue work in this direction.
