Azerbaijan, Iraqi Kurdistan mull collaboration on demining efforts

The Azerbaijan Mine Action Agency (ANAMA) engaged in discussions with Ali Miran, Director General of Technical affairs of Iraqi Kurdistan Mine Action Agency on the sidelines of the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP29) to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change in Baku.

The meeting focused on exchanging information and perspectives regarding the mine and unexploded ordnance challenges faced by both sides, Caliber.Az reports.

The discussions covered the scale of the mine problem and the measures each side has implemented to address it.

Additionally, the meeting explored prospects for further collaboration in combatting the mine threat, along with other areas of mutual interest.
