NGOs from Turkic states to gather in Azerbaijan for solidarity forum
The Solidarity Forum of non-governmental organizations (NGOs) from member states of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) is scheduled to be held in Azerbaijan from November 23 to 26.
The official opening ceremony will take place at Baku’s Gulustan Palace on November 24. The forum will host panel discussions on key topics including the Zangazur corridor and preparations for the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13), which is set to be held in Azerbaijan next year, Caliber.Az reports per local media.
The event is expected to bring together around 300 NGO representatives from Azerbaijan, Türkiye, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Hungary, and Northern Cyprus.
On the sidelines of the forum, the First Cooperation Forum of Azerbaijani and Kazakh NGOs will also be held, aiming to foster collaboration between the two countries’ civil society organizations.
Following the sessions in Baku, the forum will continue in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, where organizers plan to establish the OTS Member States’ NGO Platform. The platform will include NGOs from all eight member states, providing a structured framework for cooperation and dialogue within the Turkic world.
