Azerbaijan’s foreign minister offers condolences to Türkiye over military plane crash
Azerbaijan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeyhun Bayramov has expressed condolences to his Turkish counterpart Hakan Fidan over the crash of a Turkish C-130 military transport aircraft that went down on Georgian territory while en route from Azerbaijan to Türkiye.
According to the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry, Minister Bayramov conveyed his sympathy and solidarity with the families of the crew members and servicemen who lost their lives in the tragedy, praying for the repose of the deceased and wishing patience to their loved ones.
During the phone conversation, Minister Bayramov informed that the Azerbaijani side remains in close contact with the relevant state institutions of Türkiye and Georgia regarding the incident. He also stressed that Azerbaijan stands ready to provide all necessary support in eliminating the consequences of the crash and assisting in search and rescue operations.
Minister Fidan expressed his gratitude to Azerbaijan for its condolences and the support extended during this difficult time.
