Azerbaijani police seize over 1.2 tonnes of drugs in two months Foreign nationals among those prosecuted

During January-February 2024, Azerbaijani law enforcement agencies seized a staggering 1,212 kg of narcotics and psychotropic substances valued at AZN34,344,000 ($20.2 million).

The Permanent Working Group under the State Commission for Combating Drug Addiction and Illegal Trafficking in Narcotics reports.

Additionally, the report highlights that 17 individuals prosecuted for drug-related offences were foreign nationals, with over 96 kilograms of various narcotics and psychotropic substances confiscated from them.
