Azerbaijani president praises US leader’s enduring support for peace in South Caucasus

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has expressed gratitude to US President Donald Trump for a personal gift and his continued support for peace efforts in the South Caucasus.

The acknowledgment came via a social media post shared across the Azerbaijani leader’s official accounts, Caliber.Az reports via local media.

“I would like to express gratitude to President Donald Trump for the historical photographs he personally signed and the kind words he wrote on them,” President Aliyev wrote.

In the post, Aliyev emphasized Trump’s consistent backing of peace initiatives between Azerbaijan and Armenia, as well as broader efforts to foster global stability.

“I highly appreciate President Donald Trump's steadfast support for the normalization of relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia, as well as for the peace agenda in the South Caucasus and worldwide, and I would like to once again express my profound gratitude to him for this,” the Azerbaijani president added.
