19 August 2024 11:36
French President Emmanuel Macron may appoint a new prime minister by August 28.
President Macron might opt for a non-politician and keep outgoing ministers in their positions while forming the new government, Caliber.Az reports, citing foreign media.
On July 16, Macron accepted the resignation of French Prime Minister Gabriel Attal, who, along with members of the government, will handle current affairs until a new government is appointed.
On July 7, France held the second round of snap elections for the lower house of parliament. Jean-Luc Mélenchon, leader of the "New People's Front" alliance announced his readiness to form a government.
