Russian wheat shipment transits via Azerbaijan en route to Armenia Updated
A freight train carrying Russian wheat has departed from the Bilajary railway station on the outskirts of Baku, transiting through Azerbaijan towards Armenia.
The shipment consists of five wagons with a total cargo weight of 349 tonnes, domestic media reports.
The train is scheduled to pass through the Boyuk Kesik railway station in Georgia before continuing on to its final destination in Armenia.
This latest delivery follows a series of similar transit shipments through Azerbaijan. Previously, a total of 23,500 tonnes of grain, over 1,000 tonnes of fertilisers, and 68 tonnes of buckwheat were transported from Russia to Armenia via the same route.
The most recent wheat consignment prior to this one took place on March 25, when 350 tonnes were dispatched along the corridor.

A shipment of grain will be sent to Armenia on April 1 via transit through the territory of Azerbaijan.
The cargo will be transported in five railcars, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
The train is scheduled to depart from the Bilajari station of Azerbaijan Railways.
