Azerbaijan, Santander Bank discuss financing for investment projects

Azerbaijan’s First Deputy Economy Minister Elnur Aliyev has discussed opportunities for financing investment projects in Azerbaijan with representatives of Spain’s Santander Bank.

The ministry said the meeting highlighted opportunities to develop Azerbaijani-Spanish economic ties and expand cooperation, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.

The participants noted that strengthening economic partnership between the two countries, as well as the role of the financial sector in implementing joint projects, is of particular importance.

“Measures being implemented in Azerbaijan to promote and support investment were also highlighted, while other issues of mutual interest were discussed,” the statement said.
