Head of military intelligence: Ukraine to return to its borders of 1991
The Chief Directorate of Intelligence of the Ukrainian Defence Ministry says that beginning in August, certain events will take place that will demonstrate the beginning of a turning point in the war against Russia. At the same time, by the end of the year, active hostilities will be reduced to almost zero.
Ukraine's Military Intelligence Chief, Kyrylo Budanov, made the statement in an interview with British ITV News, RBC-Ukraine reports.
"Ukraine will return to the 1991 borders, and we do not consider any other scenarios. By the end of the year, active hostilities will be reduced to almost zero. We will resume control over our territories already in the foreseeable future," the Ukrainian intelligence chief said.
Budanov is also confident that the Russian leadership will not succeed in the war against Ukraine.
"Putin will not succeed. This is the tragedy to which he has led Russia and Ukraine, and it will end in disaster for Russia. Nothing else," he concluded.
