Fire triggers explosion at gas station in Uzbekistan VIDEO

An explosion followed by a fire occurred at a gas station in Uzbekistan’s Surkhandarya region.

The incident took place in the Shurchin district while fuel was being transferred from a tanker truck into a storage tank, Caliber.Az reports, citing Uzbek media.

Firefighters extinguished the blaze within 18 minutes, the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported.

Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the explosion and assessing the extent of the damage.
