Iran arrests supreme leader's niece
Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei's niece, human rights activist Farida Muradkhani, was arrested on November 23.
The activist's brother Mahmoud Muradkhani wrote about this on Twitter, Caliber.Az reports with reference Telegram channel Azad Iran.
He said that his sister was detained on November 23 after visiting the prosecutor's office to obtain a court decision.
It should be noted that on January 13 of this year, human rights activist Muradkhani was detained by Iran's Information, Security and Intelligence Ministry (ETTELAAT) in Tehran. In May she was released on bail with a ban on leaving the Tehran province until the end of the investigation period.
A few months before her arrest, Farida Muradkhani launched a campaign in support of prisoners.
She was arrested after meeting with the family of political prisoner Ramin Huseyn Panahi, who was executed after a trip to the city of Sanandaj in June 2018 for anti-Iranian activities.
