Meanwhile, in the wake of a terrorist attack carried out by the PKK on October 23 at the Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI) headquarters in Ankara, which resulted in the tragic loss of five lives and left 22 others injured, a series of military operations have been initiated.
The PKK, which is designated as a terrorist organisation by Türkiye, the United States, and the European Union, has conducted a violent campaign for over four decades, claiming the lives of more than 40,000 individuals, including women, children, and the elderly.
The group frequently finds sanctuary in northern Iraq, from where it orchestrates and executes cross-border attacks against Türkiye.
