Iran successfully test launches all-new rocket launcher

The Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) reported about the successful test launch of the "Gaem-100" rocket launcher on November 5.

This device is a hundred-per cent Iranian production, according to IRGC, Interfax reports, citing the Tasnim news agency. It is capable of launching satellites weighing up to 80 kg into orbit. Iranian media note that this is the first of a kind domestically made three-stage solid-propellant launch vehicle. During the test, it conducted a suborbital flight.

Western countries are closely monitoring such tests, as they believe that under the guise of working on a peaceful space program, Iran can master the technology that could allow the development of ballistic missiles.
