Six hospitalised after fire on Ryanair plane in Spain VIDEO

Six passengers were taken to hospital in the early hours of the morning on July 5 following a fire on a Ryanair aircraft at Palma Airport in Spain.

The incident occurred shortly after midnight as the plane was preparing for takeoff. Emergency crews responded quickly to what was described as a "small fire" onboard the aircraft, Caliber.Az reports via foreign media.

The SAMU061 coordination center received a call at a.m, reporting a fire on flight RK3446 to Manchester.

While the majority of passengers evacuated the plane in an orderly manner, some panicked and climbed onto the aircraft’s wings, jumping to the ground in an attempt to flee.

Paramedics treated a total of 18 individuals at the scene. Six were transported to hospital with minor injuries.

Authorities have not yet confirmed the cause of the fire, and an investigation is underway.
