Kyiv requests more than 800 Vector drones from Berlin
Ukrainian authorities have sent a request to Germany for the transfer of more than 800 reconnaissance unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) Vector.
This is reported by Der Spiegel magazine with reference to Florian Seibel, head of the German company Quantum Systems, which is engaged in the production of these drones.
According to journalists, last week the businessman visited Ukraine together with German Vice Chancellor Robert Habeck as part of a working trip. During the visit, representatives of Kiev informed the German delegation about their desire to purchase drones.
In total, the country's leadership wants to buy 812 Vector drones from Berlin. A corresponding request has already been sent to the special headquarters of the German Defense Ministry, which is responsible for the situation in Ukraine.
At the same time, the authors of the article noted that as part of his working trip, Robert Habeck took part in the opening ceremony of a new plant of Quantum Systems on Ukrainian territory. It specializes in building UAVs.
