Latvia extends EU land consolidation expertise to Azerbaijan
Azerbaijan is open to exploring collaboration opportunities with Latvia to learn from the European Union's (EU) expertise in land consolidation, as revealed by Raivis Kronberg, State Secretary of the Latvian Ministry of Agriculture.
According to Report, during a visit to Azerbaijan in early May, a Latvian delegation engaged in discussions with the Ministry of Agriculture to explore potential areas of cooperation.
Kronberg highlighted various avenues for collaboration, including the exchange of information on agricultural production, certification, and the marketing of environmentally sustainable agricultural products. Plans also include expert advisory visits, training programs, seminars, conferences, and online sessions.
It's worth noting that trade between Azerbaijan and Latvia amounted to $6,427.3 thousand in the first quarter of this year, with imports contributing $4,359.85 thousand and exports $2,067.45 thousand. In 2023, trade between the two countries reached $65 million.
