Libya calls for withdrawal of foreign troops from its territory
The Libyan leadership is counting on the help of Russia and African countries in the withdrawal of foreign troops from the country's territory.
Chairman of Libya’s Presidential Council Mohamed Al-Menfi told a plenary session of the second Russia-Africa summit, TASS reports.
"We appeal to our friends in the Russian leadership and our friends in African countries to help us withdraw all foreign troops from our territory," he urged.
The chairman of the Presidential Council drew attention to the fact that after the establishment of a truce, the main efforts of the Libyan leadership are aimed at overcoming the national split and creating a unified armed forces that can be relied upon to "maintain peace and tranquility in order to solve the pressing tasks facing the country".
