Belarus seeks to improve relations with the US, says Lukashenko

Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has expressed his country’s intention to strengthen ties with the United States.

“We are committed to developing relations with the United States,” Caliber.Az quotes Lukashenko as saying, per Belarusian media.

The president added that Belarus has already taken a number of steps to foster cooperation and is now waiting for a response from Washington.

“I haven’t even mentioned sanctions. I forbade asking. You [the American side] know what Belarus needs,” he said.
