Minister: Azerbaijan’s economy rapidly recovering in post-COVID-19 period
Azerbaijan's economy has been rapidly recovering in the post-COVID-19 pandemic period, and this trend continues.
Report news agency informs, referring to the statement made by Azerbaijani Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov at the conference entitled "The Role of Entrepreneurship in Economic Development".
The minister said that as of 2021, the growth rates of gross domestic product (GDP) in all significant sectors of the economy, the growth rates of industrial production, the growth rates of the non-oil economy, the growth rates of non-oil export and their acceleration in 2022 show that the country’s policy gives the desired result.
“This does not mean that we have solved all the problems,” Jabbarov said. “What is important for us today? What do we expect from the country to stimulate entrepreneurs’ investments for further expansion of activity?
Our point of view is access to finance, improvement of the country's access to new markets, further improvement of technical regulations, customs duties.”
