Moldova stops purchasing gas from Gazprom

Moldavian Energy Minister Viktor Parlikov said that the republic will no longer purchase gas from Gazprom since it managed to purchase fuel on the European market.

“We will no longer purchase natural gas from Gazprom for the territory controlled by constitutional authorities,” Parlikov said, speaking at the Euro-Atlantic Resilience Forum, Prime reports.

According to him, the republic managed to obtain gas from alternative sources by purchasing it on the European market.

“Moreover, we were able to do this at a lower price than the formula that we prescribed in the contract with Gazprom,” Parlikov said.
