Morocco to purchase $1 billion spy satellite from Israel
A billion-dollar deal announced on July 9 by Israeli defence firm Aviation Industries (IAI) has been confirmed with the Moroccan government.
The agreement, finalized this week, involves the delivery of an advanced spy satellite, which was initially agreed upon in December 2023, Caliber.Az reports via French media.
This new Israeli satellite will replace the current satellites, Muhammad VI-A and Muhammad VI-B, produced by Airbus, within five years.
Previously, Aviation Industries had announced the signing of a contract to supply the "system" to an unnamed foreign client. The contract is valued at $1 billion and will be completed over a five-year period.
