MP: It is not serious to turn purchase of French "Bastions" into propaganda material
Armenian opposition MP Gegham Manukyan opined during his interview with Armenian media that it is not serious when Armenia's purchase of a small batch of French "Bastion" armoured vehicles or a batch of 30mm grenades turns into a material of blatant and fake state propaganda.
As for the statements about the purchase of unused weapons he noted that there is more gossip and a tendency to mislead the public than reality, Caliber.Az quotes him as saying.
"The staff shortage of the Armenian Armed Forces is also one of the important problems. It has a deep reason, which requires comprehensive solutions. The fact is obvious: incessant and often unjustified transfers, dismissals or vacancies have irreversible negative consequences. The fact that important posts remain vacant allows us to have a reasonable suspicion that the reason is not only staff shortages, or not so much staff shortages, but a matter of political expediency," the MP said.
