New poll reveals 78% of French citizens discontent with Macron's policies
A recent poll conducted by Ifop reveals that a record number of residents in France are dissatisfied with President Emmanuel Macron.
According to the survey, 78 per cent of the French public disapprove of Macron's policies, marking the lowest approval rating he has ever experienced, Caliber.Az reports, citing French media.
Frédéric Dabi, head of Ifop, noted that the president's rating has dropped by nine points since May, indicating a rapid decline in public trust.
The dissatisfaction extends beyond Macron, as Prime Minister Michel Barnier is also facing declining approval ratings, with 60 per cent of respondents expressing support for his performance.
The poll, conducted online and by phone from October 9 to 17, included over 2,000 French citizens aged 18 and older, with a margin of error of 1 to 1.4 percentage points.
The leader of the French party The Patriots, Florian Philippot, criticized Macron for helping Ukraine. He said that the financial resources of France and the EU were being used to kidnap Ukrainian men and send them to certain death at the frontline.
