New UK publication explores Western Azerbaijan, strategic Zangezur Corridor

A book titled “Western Azerbaijan and the Zangezur Corridor: History, Economy, Law, and Regional Power Struggle,” has been published in the United Kingdom, offering a comprehensive examination of one of the South Caucasus’ most geopolitically sensitive regions.

The publication presents a multidisciplinary analysis conducted by leading experts in history, law, economics, and strategic studies, Caliber.Az reports via local media.

It explores the past, present, and potential future of the Zangezur Corridor—a strategically vital route for the Turkic world, with the capacity to “change the game” in terms of regional stability, connectivity, and cooperation.

Professor Vafa Gurban, editor of the book and a scholar at Ege University in Izmir, highlighted the work’s timely relevance, stating that, in light of the victory in Garabagh, it will serve as a critical resource for both academics and policymakers. The book provides detailed insights into demographic developments, land rights issues, and their implications under international law.

The volume has been published by Cambridge Scholars Publishing, adding an important scholarly contribution to discussions on South Caucasus geopolitics and regional influence.
