No monkeypox infection case registered in Azerbaijan

No case of infection with the monkeypox virus has been registered in Azerbaijan.

At present, the situation in the country is stable, the epidemiological situation is under control, Report informs, citing the country’s Health Ministry.

No diagnostic tests were used since no monkeypox infection case was registered in the country.

The World Health Organisation (WHO), in response to Azerbaijan's appeal, imported 3,000 diagnostic tests into the country and transferred them to the Centre for the Control of Particularly Dangerous Infections of the Ministry of Health.
