Azerbaijani president, Ukraine's FM discuss prospects for energy and transport cooperation PHOTO/UPDATED
On May 25, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received the Foreign Minister of Ukraine Andrii Sybiha.
During the meeting, the sides shared views on prospects for bilateral cooperation in areas such as energy, renewable energy sources, transport, trade, and agriculture, Caliber.Az reports, citing the president's press service.
Sybiha conveyed warm greetings from President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, to the Azerbaijani leader. He expressed gratitude for the humanitarian assistance provided by Azerbaijan, particularly highlighting the importance of ongoing projects in the city of Irpin.
Minister Sybiha also thanked Azerbaijan for its consistent support of Ukraine’s territorial integrity and sovereignty.
President Ilham Aliyev, in turn, thanked him for the conveyed greetings and asked that his best wishes be passed on to the President of Ukraine.
Aliyev emphasised that Azerbaijan will continue to provide humanitarian assistance to Ukraine.
The meeting heard the parties underscoring that Azerbaijan and Ukraine consistently support each other’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
