Production of chemical industry goods increases in Azerbaijan

Since the beginning of the year in Azerbaijan, the chemical industry, pharmaceuticals, rubber and plastic manufacturers have produced products worth 203.5 million manats ($119 million).

According to Caliber.Az, the State Statistics Committee reported that in the annual comparison, the output of pharmaceutical products increased by 63.2%, the chemical industry - by 61.6%, and the rubber and plastic products - by 18.6%.

The products made of rubber and plastic, the production of plates and strips of porous polystyrene increased 2.8 times, and the production of propylene, which is one of the main products of the chemical industry, increased by 5.9%.
