Regional leaders to discuss cargoes, corridors in Baku At 4th Black and Caspian freight forum

18 July 2025 16:44

The 4th International Black and Caspian Freight Forum 2025 will be held in Baku from September 9 to 11, bringing together transport and logistics leaders from across the region and beyond.

Themed “Corridors, Cargoes, Infrastructure”, the event will feature both a conference and an exhibition, serving as a key platform for dialogue on regional connectivity and cooperation. Up to 250 representatives from more than 25 countries are expected to attend, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.

For the first time, the forum will introduce pre-arranged B2B matching meetings as part of its official program, aiming to enhance efficiency and foster productive partnerships among participants.

This year’s agenda will focus on the current status and future prospects of international transport corridors in the Black and Caspian Sea regions. Key topics include expanding cooperation in transport and logistics, strengthening inter-country ties, and increasing the region’s transit potential.

Special attention will be given to Azerbaijan’s growing role as a strategic logistics hub connecting Asia and Europe via both sea and land routes. The contributions of regional players such as Kazakhstan, Georgia, Türkiye, and Turkmenistan in facilitating East-West cargo flows will also be discussed.

Participants will examine the development trajectories of regional seaports, addressing whether competitive or cooperative models are better suited for future growth. Discussions will also cover port integration, improved service delivery through digital technologies, and the expansion of ferry routes across the Black and Caspian Seas.

Other key issues on the agenda include the modernisation of the regional transport fleet, the creation of new logistics routes, and strategies to enhance efficiency in maritime transport across the two seas.
