Russian prime minister values allied relations with Tajikistan
"We sincerely value our allied, fraternal, historical relations with Tajikistan. Of course, the Treaty of Friendship, Cooperation and Mutual Assistance provides a solid foundation for this. This year we will celebrate its thirtieth anniversary," Mishustin said during a meeting with the Chairman of the National Assembly of Tajikistan Rustam Emomali on March 3ç according to TASS.
"Last June, Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin and Emomali Sharipovich Rakhmon reached practical agreements to expand our cooperation on the entire bilateral agenda. Our task is to implement the decisions taken by our leaders," he stressed.
Mishustin noted that this was his first visit to Tajikistan as Russian Prime Minister. He thanked the hosts for organizing all the events and conveyed Russian President Vladimir Putin's best wishes.
He also thanked Emomali for his active cooperation with Federation Council Chairman Valentina Matvienko and State Duma Chairman Vyacheslav Volodin. Mishustin noted how much importance Emomali attached to the development of inter-parliamentary interaction.
"We are interested in deepening interregional cooperation. Over 70 subjects of the Russian Federation are developing business ties with Tajikistan. There are a lot of projects," he said.
