Russian shelling in Donetsk region causes civilian casualties, property damage Photo
Russian forces continue to target settlements across Ukraine’s Donetsk region, causing new destruction and civilian injuries.
According to the head of Donetsk Regional State Administration Vadim Filashkin, an administrative building and a car repair shop were damaged in Dobropillya city in the Pokrovsky district, Caliber.Az reports.
In the Kramatorsk district, several settlements were hit: in Slavyansk, seven private houses, two high-rise buildings, and a store were damaged; two residents were wounded in Kramatorsk; one person was injured in Iversk in the Novodonetsk community; a civilian was killed in Druzhkivka, where two high-rise buildings and two non-residential buildings were also damaged; in Torske, one person was wounded and a house was damaged; and in Siversk, Bakhmut district, four private houses sustained damage.
Filashkin added that Russian forces shelled settlements in the Donetsk region 23 times over the past 24 hours. Authorities said 126 people, including 20 children, were evacuated from frontline areas.
