Turkish ASELSAN presents novel ASELFLIR-600 optoelectronic system
Turkish defence giant ASELSAN's engineers have made an important achievement in the development of optoelectronic systems with the ASELFLIR-400.
It is designed to be integrated into fixed-wing aircraft for search and rescue, and offensive operations, rotary-wing aircraft, and armoured ground vehicles with high-precision strike capability, Anadolu reports.
The development of the ASELFLIR-400 optronic guidance system has reached the final stage.
The ASELFLIR-400 will be in serial production as early as 2023. It will be used on the T70 multirole helicopter, Gokbey and Atak helicopters, and the KMC armoured vehicle.
ASELSAN has been revealing the technical specifications of its ASELFLIR-600 electro-optical system for some time now. The ASELFLIR-600 t929, designed for use on high-capacity platforms such as the Akıncı and Aksungur strike UAVs, can also be used on heavy-lift attack aircraft.
In addition to releasing high image quality, the ASELFLIR-600 also includes features such as an extended viewing range with greater optical openness, 4-axis mechanical+2-axis optical stabilisation, automatic target detection, multiple target tracking and a laser marking range of 35km.
