Turkish leaders meet with Azerbaijani rescuers in Hatay PHOTO
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, along with MHP leader Devlet Bahceli, has met with rescuers from the Azerbaijani Ministry of Emergency Situations in Hatay.
APA reports that the Turkish leader posed for a photo with Azerbaijani rescuers and expressed his gratitude.
It should be noted that the forces of the emergencies ministry have so far rescued 53 people alive and 780 bodies from the ruins in Kahramanmaras and Hatay.
Humanitarian aid was sent to Türkiye on the instructions of the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev. Until February 17, humanitarian aid was delivered by 15 planes and 350 trucks.
Some 867 rescue and medical personnel, two mobile field hospitals, 4,873 tents, 4 field kitchens, 861 generators, 221,512 necessary supplies and products, 302,034 warm clothes, 693,756 medicines and medical supplies, 12,505 heaters and technical equipment, as well as AZN 21.3 million ($12 million) have been sent to Türkiye.
Emergency medical assistance, fire extinguisher, AFAD and official search and rescue vehicles were provided with free fuel.
