Türkiye, US exchange views on regional, international agenda
Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu has met with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken in New York.
The views on the regional and international agenda were exchanged during the meeting at the Lotte New York Palace Hotel, Anadolu Agency reports on September 20.
While anticipating the talks, Cavusoglu said that he plans to discuss with his US counterpart the topics of the war between Russia and Ukraine, the tension in relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan, as well as the situation in Syria.
Blinken, for his part, called Türkiye a US ally in NATO, noting that the two countries are making efforts to get out of many difficult issues.
The secretary of state emphasised the importance of the "grain agreement", expressing gratitude to Ankara for its contribution to the achievement of these agreements.
The meeting continued behind closed doors for about half an hour.
