Deputy FM: India involved in crucial talks on Ukraine crisis
India's Deputy Foreign Minister Vikram Misri has stated that his country is actively engaged in discussions to resolve the situation in Ukraine with several key partners and leaders.
Misri did not disclose the names of those involved in the negotiations, Caliber.Az reports via Russian media.
“Regarding India’s role in peacekeeping and whether we can offer a peace formula either through our bilateral partners or on a multilateral platform, we are currently participating in discussions with several important partners and leaders,” Misri said at a press briefing.
The diplomat further said, “These discussions are ongoing, and we will inform you of the outcomes at the appropriate time. At present, we are engaging with our interlocutors on these very significant issues."
He also noted that specific meetings with leaders are being arranged during Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to the United States from September 21-23. During this visit, the Indian leader will participate in the Quad Leaders' Summit and the Future Summit at the United Nations.
