Russia, Vietnam to expand air services to boost tourism, connectivity
Russia and Vietnam have agreed to increase the frequency of mutual flights, a decision made during a recent visit by a Russian delegation to the Asian nation. The initiative will also see Vietnamese airlines participating in the expanded air services.
The announcement was made by Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko, who highlighted the significance of the move in fostering closer ties between the two countries, Caliber.Az reports citing Russian media.
Special tariffs will be introduced by carriers to facilitate the increased flight operations, and additional measures will be implemented to promote tourism exchange.
In a related development, Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro has called for an increase in direct flights between Russia and Venezuela, aiming to enhance travel opportunities for Russian tourists. Venezuelan Tourism Minister Leticia Gomez revealed that by next year, the country plans to introduce three to four flights per week connecting the two nations.
Maduro praised Russia as an attractive destination for tourism, emphasizing the historical and cultural value of the country. He shared his own experience during a recent visit to Kazan, Russia’s third-largest city, renowned for its preserved architectural landmarks and rich cultural heritage.
These efforts to boost air services and tourism exchanges underscore the growing collaboration between Russia and its international partners, as countries seek to strengthen economic and cultural ties through increased connectivity.
