Israel strikes Houthi-controlled energy infrastructure in Yemen
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) carried out airstrikes on energy infrastructure controlled by the Houthi regime near Sanaa, the capital of Yemen, located approximately 2,000 kilometres from Israel.
The strikes were a response to repeated attacks by the Houthis, including ballistic missile launches and armed drone strikes targeting Israeli territory, Caliber.Az reports, citing the IDF press service.
“The Houthi terrorist regime operates under the guidance of the Iranian regime to harm the State of Israel and its allies. The terrorist regime exploits maritime spaces to exert force and conduct terrorist activities aimed at disrupting global shipping and trade,” the IDF statement said.
The IDF affirmed its readiness to continue taking decisive action against any threats originating from the Houthis.
